Stanley J. Sliwa

Stanley J. Sliwa is a member and founding partner of SLIWA & LANE. His prime areas of practice are in the areas of municipal liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction site accidents, products liability and toxic torts (multiple chemical sensitivity, ?sick building? , mold exposureand lead paint). He received his legal degree from Rutgers School of Law-Camden, with honors, and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Fredonia where he graduated summa cum laude. He is admitted to practice in New York State and before the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Northern Districts. Stan is a member of DRI (Trial Techniques and Toxic Tort Committees), the Defense Trial Lawyers Association of Western New York, the Torts, Insurance & Compensation Section of the New York State Bar Association (former Chairperson of the Municipal Liability Committee), and the Municipal Law and Negligence Committees of the Erie County Bar Association. Stan has served as the New York State coordinator for seminars offered by the Torts, Insurance & Compensation Section of the New York State Bar Association on Civil Discovery and on the Evaluation/Negotiation of personal injury cases. He has spoken at numerous Continuing Legal Education programs sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. He has also served as an Instructor for the following entities - New York State Office of Court Administration in their Magistrates Training Program; the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority in their Peace Officers Training Academy; and, the Erie County Central Police Services Training Academy.
