Kevin A. Lane
Kevin A. Lane enjoys an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is a recipient of the New York State Bar Association Award for "Outstanding Contribution to the Practice of Law in the Field of Insurance." He obtained his undergraduate degree (Environmental Biology) from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and his legal degree, magna cum laude, from the New England School of Law. He is a former judicial clerk (Law Research Assistant) with the Appellate Division, Third Department. He is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New York, as well as in the Supreme Court of the United States and in the State of Massachusetts. He has served as Legal Counsel to the Buffalo Claims Association and was the founding coordinator of its annual Educational Seminars Program. He has served as the state-wide coordinator for seminars offered by the New York State Bar Association on coverage disputes and premises liability - construction site suits. Kevin is an Insurance Instructor on various topics for PIA and has presented numerous Continuing Legal Education Programs for the New York State Bar Association at its regional and state-wide conferences. He is the Chairperson of the Professional Responsibility of Insurance and Coverage Counsel Committee and the former Chair of both the Insurance Coverage Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section. He was an Executive Committee Member of its World Trade Center Disaster Response Committee and is the founding coordinator of the National Housing Authority Defense Attorneys Association.
