Sliwa & Lane is one of the few firms which has the expertise necessary to successfully defend municipal entities (cities, towns, villages, police departments, school districts, etc.) in actions brought for the alleged violations of Federal or New York State Civil Rights. This includes representation before the New York State Division of Human Rights or related Federal Regulatory Agencies (EEOC, etc.). Our experience includes defending against Title VII claims, claims under Section 1983 as well as employment discrimination claims.
